To mark the centenary of the Bilbao School of Engineers, the Aguirre Viscayan Foundation sponsored the publication of a book dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci’s less well-known interests. The work introduces the reader to the Renaissance genius’ lesser-known talents – those of engineer, inventor and observer of nature – through a manuscript considered one of the most faithful expressions of his thinking.

Through this book, the foundation sought to help disseminate a legacy that transcends his extraordinary artistic work.
