The origins
The Aguirre Viscayan Foundation’s first major project was the Deusto Business School. In its early years, the foundation made education accessible to students by fully funding their studies.
Over time, the foundation evolved its approach in order to continue fulfilling its founders’ wishes. It adapted to each new era without compromising its commitment to promoting excellence, education and culture and being of service to society.
This photo gallery traces the birth of an institution and the origins of a legacy that remains alive more than a century later.
The faces behind the foundation
From the sole trustee of the early years to the current Board of Trustees, including those who have served as Chair and Directors, successive generations have contributed to preserving and developing the legacy of the Aguirre Viscayan Foundation.
