The Aguirre Viscayan Foundation was founded in 1916 by Pedro de Icaza y Aguirre. The current Board of Trustees comprises six of his great-grandchildren. This new generation of trustees are following faithfully in their great-grandfather’s footsteps, ensuring that the foundation continues to deliver the activities entrusted to it in the fields of education, healthcare and culture.
