Centenary of the Aguirre Basagoiti Brothers
In 2007, to mark the centenary of the deaths of Pedro and Domingo Aguirre Basagoiti, the foundation organised an extensive programme of commemorative, cultural and heritage initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting their legacy.
Memory and heritage
The foundation installs a commemorative sculpture in Deusto and publishes a book dedicated to the Aguirre brothers, highlighting their lives and their contribution to the foundation’s history.
La Comercial and the business world
La Comercial and its gardens are illuminated at night; the foundation organises a conference on the internationalisation of Basque business, linking the Aguirre brothers’ business legacy with the challenges of their time.
San Juan de Dios Hospital in Santurce
Mural added to the entrance hall; the hospital gardens receive a makeover. The hospital is linked to the Aguirre brothers’ legacy through the Aguirre Charitable Foundation.
